Kakadu: like the Blue Mountains only hotter

The man in this rock picture was killed for stealing the fish in the community, several thousand years ago.

The soft toy in this photograph is named Gator and was purchased from the Jabiru tourist information centre, last weekend.

Translation: "Stay away from the water, or you will die".

What they fail to mention (and what is worse) is that your untimely death will be glorified in the NT News.

So many fishies [Correction: actually this is a turtle]

Retweet

Miu miu dragonfly heels at Sea of Shoes. Jane Aldridge is amazing (and so young) and her shoots keep getting better and better

I've been trying not to re-post other blogs of late, but just couldn't help myself with this one

A showbag is a good bag

Gorman Melbourne Spring Fashion Week show bag picked up from the RMIT show

The contents were somewhat eclectic: mini Nivea samples, show program, Vitamin Water (my current obsession: I'm attempting to replace my addiction to coffee with an addiction to Vitamin Waters), feminine hygiene products, Red Bull shot and ... even more feminine hygiene products. Not exactly rivaling the Coca Cola showbag at the Easter Show but the Gorman cartoon is pretty cute.

Chapel Street, my old friend

Purple dress from Review on Chapel Street - just a little bit shimmery and with an amazing ruffle detail

Tan belt by Trenery at Chadstone

right on cue

Cue dress and Oroton signature silk scarf from Chadstone.

The dress is quite flared and makes me want to twirl - highly unusual!

RMIT Dangerous Goods runway show, taken on my Iphone

A friend and I went to the RMIT graduate fashion show at Melbourne town hall on the weekend. The show was one of the many public events during this year's Melbourne Spring Fashion Week (MSFW). I love that MSFW has such a well developed public program - its something that RAFW should take note of.

The show was really well produced, the models were impressive and the clothes really interesting. It felt a little bit like going to a graduation - the students and their friends and family definitely showed their support loudly! The only disappointing part was that it only lasted for 20-30 minutes. Also interesting were the number of (good looking, well dressed) men at the event. I'd random a guess that about 40% of the audience were male. Although no one told the people filling the Gorman showbags! I think a lot of men would have been donating the feminine hygiene products...

Summer catch-up

Finally the rest of Australia has caught up with our weather!

This is my pick of the latest Country Road drop... looks like the focus is tribal (ikat print), utility (cargo/army) and a fresh summery blue.

LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Perfect for double denim

Trilby

Cloud print - great colour

Look familiar?

Cargo playsuit. So wrong its right.

Never been so excited to see - SWIMMERS!

FROCK STARS

The Powerhouse Museum currently has an exhibition called FROCK STARS: Inside Australian Fashion Week.
The exhibition is open until October 10.

Dion Lee S/S 10 dress. The fake "photographers" in the background of this shot are really cute!

Tim Blanks was a guest at 2010 Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. He was signed up for 25 shows over just 2 days! He also wrote up his verdict in Australian Vogue.

Dion Lee show bag and invitation to his amazing show at the Sydney Opera House. Interested to know what GHD goodies they got given!

Beautiful 2008 Michelle Jank dress. The (interesting) dress in the background is from the 2009 Romance Was Born collection

Sydney seasons

I took this photo about a month ago in Sydney. The ferris wheel isn't exactly novel (Paris, London, Melbourne, Brisbane... pick a city really) but I love the leaves stripped from the trees in this shot. Don't try and tell me Sydney doesn't get real seasons!

Life is a picnic

MULBERRYTREES

Mulberry is a British label known for its quality leather goods. They are one of the last British labels still manufacturing in the United Kingdom.

The Bayswater (seen above) is one of their most iconic bags.

The Alexa (seen below and named after Alexa Chung) is their latest "IT bag" offering.
Mulberry is also opening a Sydney store in November. With this in mind, I can't understand why Jigsaw would release the bag below.
