Sydney

Still a beautiful city...

David Wenham: the musical

Oh wait, Jerry Springer: the Musical. With a little Marcus Graham thrown in for good measure. Oh, and some tap-dancing KKK members...

Dip me in chocolate and throw me to the lesbians!

Brunch is the best meal of the day

Five stars to the Armory Wharf Cafe, Homebush.

Try the Eggs Benny, hollandaise on the side.  Coffee was quite acceptable, view great. Check out the Armory buildings scattered around, and very helpful staff. Artexpress is showing at the Armory Gallery until later this week - enjoy!

RAFW twitter overload

Between tweets from Grazia, Cosmo, Cleo, Marie Claire, RAFW, Justine Cullen, modelfeed, Myf Warhurst and the Sartorialist, there's a RAFW twitter overload. The catwalk must be lined with Iphones and Crackberries instead of sktech books this year...

Bec & Bridge

One of the first designers to show at RAFW, B&B focussed on clean lines and embellish details. Love. those. shoes.

Available in the Australian designers section at David Jones in Elizabeth Street

Overheard by Grazia magazine at RAFW...

"Horror! Scott [the Sartorialist] looked me up and down and walked away!"

Perhaps the ultimate insult for a Sydney fashionista?

Perhaps she should have read Grazia's "How to get spotted by the Sartorialist" Although - if you need to read the guide - its unlikely that you would be worthy of Scott's camera!

Sartorialist's Australian adventure

Scott Schuman [aka The Sartorialist] touched down in Australia recently. The famous photo-blogger is currently in Sydney for Rosemount Australian Fashion Week at the Overseas Passenger Terminal.

This photo [Balmain jacket, Josh Goot dress] is my favourite Sartorialist snap.

Stolen girlfriends club...

Keys to my Portobello road townhouse [London], Meatpacking district loft [sweet NY NY] and Right bank apartment [Paree]

Harbord

Has recently been named "Freshwater". Why? Real estate prices are now expected to rise... that what I call true Sydney-style...

Freshwater beach

Freshwater beach, on Sydney's northern beaches is the birthplace of Australian surfing, early last century. This statue is an iconic reminder.

The Men are going Mad

I'm quite looking forward to Mad Men, the American drama set in 60's New York and billed as "sexy, stylised and provocative".

Mad Men is screening on SBS starting April 16.

1. Take a deep breath in.

The mostest loveliest website

Take a *squiz* at this antiques website, Vintage Glamour

My only concern is that "French vintage chic" doesn't go with "Ikea modernist minimalism..." ;)
[Words of warning: the start-up is kind of loud, so I wouldn't be sneak peaking at work]

Semillon & Seafood

I must be getting old.

Barely two years ago these two things would have warranted a less than impressed response.

Then again, drinking during the day is always fun, in a naughty teenager kind of way...?
